David Temple MBE - Conductor
"I am the conductor of two high class symphonic choirs - Crouch End Festival Chorus and Hertfordshire Chorus. Occasionally the works we perform require a children's choir and for many years, I have worked with Coldfall Primary School Choir under the direction of Kate Vetch. Not only has this included concerts in major London concert halls, including Orff's Carmina Burana, but it has also included a recording of Britten's Saint Nicolas with Signum Records and The BBC Concert Orchestra where the children's choir plays a significant part. This is all top-quality music making and it is important that I completely trust the school's music director (Kate!) to provide me with excellence, professionalism and reliability. Kate is a stunning teacher and is also very aware of the standards required. This is a rare and valuable skill, one to be recognised and celebrated. Kate is excellent at instilling great singing and musical discipline within her young singers, which makes it easy and pleasurable to work with her."

She has a particular skill in working with any group, of whatever ability or background, to transform their confidence, sense of self, vocal and musical potential. Catty Alberman – Primary Music Coordinator Haringey Music Service
"Kate has always been a source of inspiration and galvanisation!! Her wealth of knowledge and application to Music Education has been really impressive, as has her commitment to her school and to music in Haringey generally. Her school choir has always been incredibly impressive and manages to up everyone’s game very successfully when they perform at festivals.
Kate’s work on the Music 4 You initiative was very helpful and accessible to our generalist teachers and her vocal workshops have been very well received by all. She has always been an exciting and innovative colleague and member of our Haringey Music educators team and I really look forward to working with her and her future Music education endeavours."

She has inspired so many children, staff and parents throughout her years at Coldfall with her passion, exacting standards and musical creativity and ability, leading to the most wonderful music provision for every single child.
Kate has tremendous passion, drive and commitment - I owe her a huge debt of gratitude for her years of teaching music at Coldfall. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

Someera Butt – Head Teacher - Al-Noor Primary School
"Kate worked with Al-Noor Primary to produce a music curriculum for our school broadly in line with our school's faith-based ethos and low levels of teacher subject knowledge in music. Kate's extensive experience as well as her deep knowledge and understanding of music, the national curriculum, music pedagogy and how children learn music, led to the production of a comprehensive scheme of plans supported throughout by resources and video/audio clips to give teachers the confidence to teach and to give pupils good musical experiences. Kate supplemented this with half termly teacher training and advice on acquiring instruments and grants to fund them too. As a result, children very much enjoy their lessons and have become more rhythmical and melodic, which is evident across the school. They play instruments with gusto and sing with glee! Thanks Kate, we couldn't have done it without you!"
